Inspiration comes from the most unlikely of sources sometimes, doesn't it?

Within the next few weeks (it's really gonna depend on my work schedule, i.e., when I can duck out of work for a full day or three), I plan on sitting down and actually getting some work done on my story, including a full revision of the prologue, which is the only part of the story up so far. Heck, calling it a prologue is a bit of a misnomer, because it's not even a prologue, really - it's the first chapter of things, more than anything. A prologue would be the backstory for the world setting, really...the big war and all.

so...yeah. Something to look forward to (I hope). I'm not going to stop until I'm satisfied with it, though I may toss out some second or third drafts or something for a bit of critique. Now that I've got the right angle on the thing, I think, it's just a bit of refinement necessary - polishing the blade in the fire, as it were.

By the way, the name "Cerpin Taxt" will not be appearing, since Universal would SO sue my ass, haha. See, THAT'S good backstory! I just hope I can make my own work as good as the tale of Cerpin Taxt's battle within himself. Good Lord, that's some good stuff, that.

I hope to make this my crowning creative achievement, and that everyone who reads it finds something within it they enjoy, and, more importantly, something that speaks out to them of themselves - some part of themselves that they'd forgotten, or never knew that they had, or even something that they're so fully conscious of that it will stun them, and touch their spirit. After all, isn't that what the great literature is about?
